DESCRIPTION
J12 is looking for a Senior Radar Signal Processing Engineer to support radar development and analysis efforts. This highly technical candidate will be responsible for developing and maturing radar algorithms, collaborating with software and hardware engineers to develop prototype sensors, overseeing subsystem and system integration testing, and analyzing the results of system simulations and field test experiments.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Contribute to radar and electronic warfare (EW) initiatives by researching and developing cutting-edge digital signal processing (DSP) algorithms. Participate in detailed radar and RF modeling, simulation, and analysis, along with the integration and field testing of RF sensors and systems.
Rapidly familiarize yourself with radar and sensor phenomenology and our established tools and models to start making impactful contributions to new features and improvements.
This role is primarily based at our company headquarters and may also involve work at a local partner or customer facility.
Occasional travel may be required for customer meetings or collaborative projects.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, Math, Physics, or related field from an ABET-accredited university.
At least four years of experience working in radar and/or electronic warfare fields.
Candidate must be a US-only Citizen.
Must be resident of or be willing to relocate to the Huntsville, AL area.
Must currently possess (and be able to maintain) a final SECRET security clearance.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Masters degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Math, Physics, or related field from an ABET-accredited university.
Excellent organizational skills, diligence, and strong written and verbal communications skills.
Excellent math and statistics background and fundamentals in radar digital signal processing, tracking algorithms, and electromagnetics.
