MANTECH seeks a motivated, highly technical and mission driven CNO Python Software Developer to join our team in Hanover, MD. This position supports critical mission requirements by delivering advanced software solutions within a cyber network operations (CNO) environment.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Design and develop new bleeding-edge software, new capabilities and recommendations for improvements to existing capabilities
Provide specialized testing and evaluation capabilities tailored to system functions
Perform programming and coding with Python to solve hard problems and create the best solutions
Perform system and subsystem definition, preliminary and detailed design, design implementation, and subsystem and system integration and tests for a system
Research requirements for a product, including CNO deployment environment, performance criteria, and competitive issues
Determine computer user needs and analyze system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming
Perform quality control on team products and ensure software standards are met
Debug and troubleshoot software, modify existing software to correct errors, to adapt to new requirements, and to improve performance
Coordinate and perform software deployments for developed products
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma and 6+ years of programming experience or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field and 2+ years of programming experience
Experience with Python, including object-oriented analysis and design and task automation
Experience with Windows and Linux shell scripting
Experience with Software Version Control
Knowledge of Computer Network Operations (CNO) environments
Knowledge of JSON, YAML
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with software troubleshooting and debugging
Experience with CNO environments
Experience with SQL and NoSQL database environments
Experience with Subversion or Git
Experience utilizing the Atlassian suite, specifically Jira and Confluence.
Experience in networking protocols (TCP/IP), socket-level programming, and network issue resolution
Experience with containerization technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes and cloud platforms such as Azure.
Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines (GitLab) and infrastructure automation using Ansible
Experience developing and integrating with RESTful APIs
Experience with HashiCorp tools, including Vagrant, Packer, and Terraform
Knowledge of multiple software development methodologies (e.g., Scrum, TDD, Waterfall)
Experience working within an Agile software development lifecycle
Security Clearance Requirements:
Active and current TS/SCI with Polygraph
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
