HX5 administers NASA's Internship Program at 10 centers nationwide. This position will join a team of Center Coordinators as well as Funding, Communications, Tools, and Data Leads.
HX5 is currently seeking an Internship Coordinator on-site at NASA Armstrong Flight Research Center (AFRC) in Edwards, CA.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Internship Coordinator will support interns and mentors with posting projects, reviewing candidate eligibility, sending offer letters, hosting orientation, organizing tours, and hosting regular office hours.
In addition, this role will also be the agencywide Onboarding Lead. This involves collecting and auditing onboarding documents, emergency contact information, and project plans for interns. The candidate should be familiar with, or willing to learn, Power BI dashboards for tracking and reporting submission progress. In addition, the candidate should be familiar with, or willing to learn, Power Automate, which is used to configure a Welcome Letter Automation that is emailed to candidates who accept internship offers.
The candidate will work with HX5 team members around the country and a NASA Center Lead at AFRC but should also have a high capacity for self-directed work.

Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree, with a minimum of 5 year of experience, in Education or a related field. Desired skills in project management, communications, coordination, curriculum development, etc.
Salary:
This position is expected to pay $85,000 to $100,000 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.
Other Position Requirements:
Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position.
Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.
