The Mortgage Loan Servicing Analyst would join the Operations team and would be responsible for supporting day-to-day loan servicing oversight and the administration of 25,000+ residential mortgage loans held in NB-managed portfolios.
Duties includes assisting with structured surveillance of the third-party servicers in order to improve ongoing processes, managing daily servicing operations tasks (described in more detail below), assisting the trading team with transaction operations, and providing assistance in ongoing loan-level asset management.

This is a unique opportunity to join a team of investment and operations professionals focused on an exciting asset class within private asset-backed credit. While this role will focus on specific tasks within loan servicing management, the candidate is expected to eventually take on roles of increasing responsibility in order to positively impact the broader business.

Address certain issues that may arise with respect to the servicing of the mortgage loan portfolios. Interface with third-party servicers, loan sellers, and/or the NB Portfolio Management team to resolve in an effective and timely manner
Monitor performance of the mortgage loan portfolios using various exception reports, as well as ensure timelines with respect to collection and loss mitigation activities are maintained by all third-party loan servicers. Report to Portfolio Management on a regular basis and collaborate on servicing strategies
Assist with third-party servicer onboarding and ongoing due diligence. Work with servicers to build out their capabilities to meet NB standards and assist with service transfer notifications and system adjustments
Provide assistance to the Operations, Trading and Finance teams involved with other items related to servicing, such as trading operations, remittance reconciliation, legal agreements, etc.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Real Estate or a related field.
1-5 years of experience in the mortgage loan industry or a similar industry. New graduates would be considered for this position; however, those with prior exposure to mortgage loan servicing would be strongly preferred. The candidate will need to become versed in the laws and regulations governing servicing activity
Strong Excel skills will be required, given the amount of data managed on a day-to-day basis. This will be evaluated during the interview process
The candidate also must have good interpersonal and communication skills, be team player and have the ability to work independently with a strong attention to detail
Neuberger Berman is unable to offer visa sponsorship for this position. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship.
