Description We are looking for a skilled Security Analyst II to join our team in Marysville, Ohio. In this role, you will focus on maintaining the security of network operations, monitoring systems, and ensuring compliance with established protocols. This is a long-term contract position requiring on-site work four days per week, with one remote day if preferred.
Responsibilities:
Configure, manage, and maintain Palo Alto Next Generation Firewalls, including policies, rules, threat prevention profiles, and GlobalProtect software.
Administer and troubleshoot Cisco security devices, including ACLs, VPNs, and security policies.
Conduct regular reviews of firewall rules to optimize system performance and minimize risks.
Monitor network security alerts, investigate anomalies, and analyze firewall logs using tools like Panorama and packet capture utilities.
Respond to network-based security incidents and collaborate with incident response teams for remediation.
Support secure connectivity across data centers, branch sites, cloud environments, and remote access solutions.
Troubleshoot complex routing, switching, and connectivity issues affecting security appliances.
Assist with the development and deployment of secure architectures for new network builds and cloud integrations.
Maintain thorough documentation of firewall configurations, network diagrams, and operational procedures.
Ensure compliance with security frameworks and contribute to the enforcement of best practice standards. Requirements - 3-7 years of experience in network security operations or firewall engineering.
Proficiency in Palo Alto Networks technologies, including PA series firewalls, Panorama, and GlobalProtect.
Hands-on experience with Cisco security solutions such as Cisco Firepower and VPN configurations.
Familiarity with monitoring tools and techniques to identify and address network security threats.
Strong skills in troubleshooting and resolving connectivity issues across Layer 2 and Layer 3 networks.
Knowledge of compliance frameworks like ISO 27001 and security hardening standards.
Availability for on-call support and flexibility to adjust shifts for system updates or incident resolution.
