Overview
BigBear.ai is seeking a Senior Reverse Engineer to support innovative and mission-critical projects. In this role, you will design, develop, prototype, modify, and integrate solutions to deliver mission-centric results. You will collaborate closely with analysts, operators, data scientists, and software engineers to provide tactical mission support. This fast-paced and dynamic environment requires a flexible, highly motivated engineer with a strong desire to learn new skills and address evolving challenges critical to national security.
What you will do
Enhance and augment existing toolsets to meet mission requirements.
Derive, document, and analyze technical and operational requirements.
Build prototypes to demonstrate understanding of mission needs.
Develop and deliver end-to-end toolsets that operate within mission constraints.
Collaborate with customer leadership to build strong relationships and enable mission success
What you need to have
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree with 12+ years of experience, or Master's degree with 10+ years of experience.
An additional 4 years of software engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
Clearance: TS/SCI with Polygraph (required).
Technical Skills:
Experience developing Computer Network Operations (CNO) software for Linux, Windows, and embedded applications.
Proficiency in reverse engineering, particularly with tools like Ghidra.
Strong programming skills in C, C++, and Python.
Experience supporting and maintaining fielded software systems.
Familiarity with version control systems such as Git and Subversion.
Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence).
Mindset:
Willingness to learn new technologies and systems to meet evolving mission objectives .
What we'd like you to have
Experience with additional programming languages, including Java, JavaScript, Bash, Assembly (x86/x64), PowerShell, Perl, C#, and Rust.
Expertise in vulnerability research and exploit development.
Knowledge of end-to-end SIGINT collection and analysis systems.
Experience with production CNO capabilities and operations.
