Air Traffic Management and Safety (ATMS) project is focused on transforming the aviation system for today and tomorrow by enabling faster, safer, and more resilient operations through automation. The ATMS project does this by focusing on various research areas to improve commercial operations safety and efficiency, safely enabling routine autonomous operations, and preparing for future airspace and safety needs.
While NASA subject matter experts and technologies provide a great deal of input to advancing our research, we engage with external stakeholders, such as other government entities and private companies to help fill in gaps and expedite our research objectives for the greater good. As the ATMS Engagement Coordinator, you would help foster and manage these external engagements and promote additional collaboration mechanisms to advance our project objectives.
Job Responsibilities:
As the lead engagement coordinator for ATMS, the role requires strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills. In addition to working closely and collaboratively with the project management team, this individual should be able to lead a team of other coordinators and ensure that the project's calendars and goals are managed as needed. Additionally, the position requires:
Lead engagement meeting with research areas to ensure communication of statuses/roadblocks between work area leads and PMO.
Attend designated AOSP COMMS - act as liaison for engagement information between ATMS and AOSP
Support outreach activities for conferences, panels, and with PAO
Support PMO key meetings and strategic planning activities
Offsites: Organize logistics information, reserve conference rooms, submit visitor badges (if applicable), create agenda template with PMO, organize lunches/meals (if applicable)
Key PMO meetings: Track actions and key takeaways
Maintain Project Highlight submission form
Aggregate project highlights, review/edit, gain approval and send to AOSP and Center Leadership
Manage the admin and support teams for the PMO when needed
Working with the PMO and project coordinator to establish strong practices and processes for capturing documents, actions, and other key items
Assess the pace and priorities of items for the PMO based on project needs and timelines
Required Education/Skills:
6 or 8 years of relevant job experience OR a bachelor's degree + 2 years relevant experience.
Relevant experience:
Supporting Tracking and Execution of Projects
Executive level administrative support.
Additional Desired Skills:
Proficient in adobe and Microsoft office suite
Strong organizational skills
Strong time management skills
Ability to write notes and actions in a clear and concise manner
Must be a permanent US citizen
