Role OverviewThe Clean Energy Analyst supports our energy consulting services with a focus on electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure planning, site evaluation, utility bill analysis, and incentive strategy. This entry-level role is ideal for candidates looking to build foundational experience across energy markets, EV charging technologies, utility coordination, and clean transportation economics within a small, fast-moving consulting firm. The analyst will work closely with management, the Director of EV Charging, utilities, and clients to help evaluate energy consumption data and EV charging station project opportunities from concept through implementation. Key Responsibilities Utility Bill & Rate Analysis Assist with ongoing gathering, organizing, and evaluation of clients utility bills for energy consumption and costs data monitoring and analysis Prepare and maintain Excel-based energy usage benchmarking and budgetary models Help track and quantify operating cost, utility tariffs, demand charges, to identify rate optimization and efficiency strategies EV Charging Station Analysis & Planning Support feasibility analysis for EV charging station installations at clients sites by conducting site screenings and preparation of site plans and project proposals. Conduct EV Make-Ready, interconnection, and utility coordination activities Financial & Incentive Analysis Maintain Excel-based financial models for EV charging projects Analyze capital costs, operating costs, revenues, and lifecycle economics Research and summarize federal, state, utility, and local EV charging incentives Support utility and public agency grant applications, rebate tracking, and incentive compliance Client & Project Support Prepare client-ready memos, presentations, and summary reports Support proposal development and preparation, scopes of work, and RFP responses Participate in client meetings, take notes, and track action items in CRM Maintain organized utility bill data and EV charging station project files Market Research & Data Analysis Track EV adoption trends, charging technology developments, and market best practices Analyze utilization data, charging session data, and site performance metrics Support internal tools, templates, and market intelligence resources Preferred Qualifications Bachelors degree in Energy, Engineering, Economics, Environmental Science, Finance, or related field 02 years of experience Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of programs High attention to detail with strong written and verbal communication skills Core Skills & Attributes Analytical, detail-oriented, and eager to learn Comfortable working in Excel and with imperfect data Organized and able to manage multiple small projects and tasks Collaborative and professional in client-facing settings Interest in energy markets, building electrification and zero-emission transportation Why Join Our Firm Hands-on exposure to real-world energy efficiency and EV charging projects Opportunity to work directly with management and clients Broad learning across technical, financial, and policy topics Fast professional growth in a small, entrepreneurial environment Mission-driven work supporting building and transportation electrification
