Summary of Position
The Business Intelligence Analyst I (BIA) is responsible for assisting in the creation and maintenanceof Power BI dashboards, reports, and basic data models. Under guidance, the BIA will help presentfindings to stakeholders and contribute to the development of self-service reporting tools. This roleworks closely with other business units to support reporting needs and complete assigned tasks andprojects.
Principal Accountabilities and FunctionsSupports the design and maintenance of Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models.Assists in creating data visualizations to support understanding of key metrics and trends.Creates basic recurring and ad-hoc reports using data from our enterprise data warehouse and varioussystems of record.Supports requirements gathering and helps create data models based on stakeholder needs.Collaborates with IT/InfoSec teams to ensure data integrity and security.Develops basic/intermediate reports and visualizations using Power BI and Power Query.Stays current with new Power BI features and best practices.Assists senior analyst(s) in solving business problems using basic analytical and technical methods.Supports evaluation of third-party tools and services under the direction of senior staff.Performs related duties when assigned.Required QualificationsBS in computer science, business intelligence or related fieldMinimum 2 years of experience developing BI solutionsMicrosoft Power BI Experience with Azure Data Services is a plusExperience with scripting and programming languages such as Python is a plusExperience with Microsoft Business Intelligence stack is a plusOr, an equivalent combination of education and experience.
