The
Electronic Maintenance Technician IIwill work with the Radio Frequency Field Engineer to support the continuity of electronic equipment used by NOAA's Radio Frequency Interference Modeling System (RFIMS) and ancillary systems. Responsibilities include planning and performing preventative, scheduled and corrective maintenance actions to keep the RFIMS subsystems, ancillary equipment, and support systems and equipment functioning normally.
This position is contingent upon contract award
Primary Duties:
Perform preventive and scheduled maintenance actions on RFIMS RMS hardware subsystems in accordance with the RFIMS Operations and Maintenance Manual.
Perform preventative and scheduled maintenance on other interference and monitoring equipment as needed to maintain reliable, normal functionality in accordance with original equipment manufacturer's published specifications.
Restore equipment operations to its nominal performance status upon completion of preventative maintenance.
Perform corrective maintenance to RFIMS subsystems, ancillary equipment and support systems to restore the equipment to its normal operating condition within the expected failures mean time to restore specification, or if not specified, within a reasonable timeframe that minimizes downtime.
Required Education/Experience/Skills:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in electrical engineering or a related field.
At least 5-10 years of work experience in maintenance of electrical equipment and systems.
Experience working with Radio Frequency equipment.

Salary at GST is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $91,000 to $104,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range or this position and is just one component of the GST total compensation package for employees.
