Koniag Information Technology Services (KITS), a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Data Analyst II with a Top Secret clearance to support our Army customer in Huntsville, Alabama. This on-site role will provide comprehensive data analysis support to the Army Materiel Command (AMC), enabling data-driven decision-making and enhancing operational effectiveness. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, experience with data visualization tools, and knowledge of predictive modeling techniques. This position requires on-site presence in Huntsville, Alabama.

Position Description:
The Data Analyst II will be responsible for delivering end-to-end data analysis services to support AMC operations and strategic initiatives. Principal responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Gather, clean, and prepare data from diverse sources, ensuring quality and usability for analysis
Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, correlations, and insights
Develop and apply appropriate statistical methods and data analysis techniques
Create predictive models to support forecasting and strategic planning activities
Design and implement compelling data visualizations that clearly communicate analytical findings
Produce concise, informative reports with actionable recommendations based on data analysis
Maintain data quality standards, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and consistency across datasets
Provide knowledge transfer and training to AMC personnel on data analysis tools and best practices
Support the development and maintenance of a robust data science process
Contribute to enterprise-level data strategy through research and recommendations
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into analytical frameworks
Document analytical methodologies, processes, and results
Stay current on emerging data analysis techniques and technologies
Implement data governance practices within analytical processes
Present findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders effectively
Adhere to DoD/Army policies, industry best practices, and contract requirements in all work
Education and Experience:
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field
3+ years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or related role
Demonstrated experience with data visualization tools and techniques
Experience with statistical analysis and predictive modeling
Proficiency in data manipulation and analysis
Top Secret Clearance
Required Skills and Competencies:
Strong proficiency in Excel for data analysis and reporting
Experience with SQL for data extraction and manipulation
Knowledge of at least one programming language used for data analysis (Python, R, or Java)
Proficiency with data visualization platforms (Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js)
Understanding of statistical methods and predictive modeling techniques
Experience with data cleaning, transformation, and preparation
Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Attention to detail and commitment to data quality
Experience creating clear, impactful reports and presentations
Understanding of data governance principles and practices
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Experience working with large and complex datasets
Ability to obtain and maintain required security clearances
Willingness to work on-site in Huntsville, Alabama
Desired Skills and Competencies:
Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, or related field
Experience working with Army or DoD customers
Knowledge of Army Materiel Command operations and data environments
Experience with big data technologies and platforms
Knowledge of machine learning algorithms and applications
Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and practices
Experience with ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes
Understanding of database design and management
Knowledge of cloud-based data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Experience with Agile methodologies
Understanding of cybersecurity principles related to data handling
Certifications in data analysis, business intelligence, or related fields
Experience conducting training and knowledge transfer sessions
Familiarity with DoD/Army data policies and standards
