Cimarron is seeking a senior-level Software Engineer to support the Orion program on the Electrical Ground Support Equipment Software team in Denver, CO. Orion is the spacecraft that will carry astronauts farther into space than ever before as part of NASA's Artemis missions to the Moon and beyond! In this position, you'll design and develop Big Data systems that support Orion's critical test, integration, and mission operations. This role offers the opportunity to work with advanced data platforms that help engineers understand and optimize one of the most complex spacecraft ever built.
Key Duties:
Design, develop, and maintain software for Big Data management and integration.
Support systems integration and database optimization for telemetry processing systems.
Perform anomaly investigations and develop resolutions to ensure system performance.
Assist users and lab managers with data analysis and system troubleshooting.
Collaborate within a team environment to achieve program milestones.
Provide off-hours support as needed for mission and test activities.
Required Skills, Experience, and Education:

3 or more years of related experience.
Extensive experience with Big Data management and systems integration.
Proficiency with Apache Hadoop or AWS-based data platforms.
Experience with relational databases and Java full-stack development.
Knowledge of Python, telemetry systems, and processing.
Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
Bachelor's degree in a related discipline, or equivalent education/experience.
