We have an exciting opportunity for a Junior Stress Analyst to join the team with Nexus, a teammate company. The Junior Stress Analyst will:
Junior Structural Analyst to support structural analysis tasks across multiple NASA Divisions
Use stress analysis experience to perform classical hand stress analysis, finite element stress analysis and fracture analysis.
Be familiar with NASA standards for analysis, including Fracture Control
Know and have experience with using NASGRO
Be proficient in the use of finite element modeling techniques using FEMAP or PATRAN for finite element model development and NASTRAN for finite element solutions.
Prepare structural analysis reports and work with other engineers to find resolutions to problems.
Perform other duties as required.

Typically requires a bachelor's degree in Engineering and a minimum of 1 year of experience in the field or in a related area.
Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
Familiarity with desktop software applications, MS Office is required.

Previous experience performing structural analysis on NASA spaceflight hardware
Experience using FEMAP or PATRAN and MSC/NASTRAN
