Cimarron is seeking a senior-level Software Engineer to support the Orion program on the Electrical Ground Support Equipment Software team in Denver, CO. Orion is the spacecraft that will carry astronauts farther into space than ever before as part of NASA's Artemis missions to the Moon and beyond! In this position, you'll develop and troubleshoot software that drives real-time telemetry processing for Orion's flight and ground systems. Your work will directly contribute to ensuring mission success and astronaut safety on the next generation of deep space missions.
Key Duties:
Develop and maintain software solutions for telemetry processing and electrical ground support systems.
Apply analytical and creative problem-solving to enhance system performance and reliability.
Support anomaly investigation and resolution activities.
Provide user and lab manager support with data analysis.
Collaborate with engineers, scientists, and integration teams to achieve program goals.
Provide occasional off-hours support to ensure lab productivity and mission readiness.
Required Skills, Experience, and Education:
Due to facility security requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for consideration at this time.
3 or more years of related experience.
Strong experience with C++ and Linux.
Knowledge of satellite operations, telemetry systems, and processing.
Experience with Voice and Network communication systems.
Expertise in anomaly investigation and troubleshooting.
Proficiency in Java, Python, and bash/csh scripting.
Familiarity with Big Data environments and OSComet.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Bachelor's degree in a related discipline, or equivalent education/experience.
