We are seeking an Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM) Engineer to provide support to the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) in Pasadena, CA.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
As an
ICAM Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role as an ICAM Engineer. In this role, you'll collaborate with JPL application developers and owners to seamlessly integrate applications with JPL Identity Authentication and Authorization Services, including SSO. You'll provide vital identity integration support for in-house dynamic websites and work closely with internal and external teams to integrate commercial and cloud-based applications. Additionally, you may collaborate with ICAM Service developers to integrate supplementary identity and authentication systems.
Key responsibilities include:
Assisting missions in transitioning their current system configurations with LDAP and Kerberos to Domain for Linux (FreeIPA/Red Hat Identity Management).
Developing and documenting procedures for mission-specific changes.
Administering privileges in Domain for Linux.
Coordinating with other system administration teams (IPS and MIST).
Supporting ICAM by tracking and reporting PIV-M burndowns for review.
Collaborating with ICAM Operations to assess or create steady-state procedures.
Job Specifications:
BS/MS in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. MS Degree may be considered in lieu of experience.
2-3 years of related experience desired
Proficiency in Linux System Administration (Red Hat and Ubuntu).
Familiarity with Linux-based configuration management systems and ICAM services (e.g., LDAP or Active Directory, Single Sign-On, Kerberos).
Experience with Azure AD.
Knowledge of virtual machine infrastructure (e.g., VMWare ESXi).
Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused mindset
Previous experience supporting NASA JPL IT systems is desired.
Must be able to successfully obtain/maintain a NASA tier 2 background investigation.
