: Receive, evaluate and transmit information via telephone, computer and multi-channel radio that frequently involves emergency and critical situations affecting human welfare and safety; utilize computer-aided dispatch and other computer systems; quickly analyze multiple data sets; recognize and exploit relevant intelligence; maintain access to, and security of, highly sensitive materials and information; perform multiple activities simultaneously in a high visibility setting; work with frequent interruption in a framework of rules, procedures and regulations and perform technical tasks relative to assigned area of responsibility. Provide tactical and strategic intelligence, analyze crime records, query and analyze various criminal, commercial, homeland security and open source databases and develop intelligence products including, but not limited to bulletins and threat assessments.
: Education directly related to the minimum requirements below may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
High school diploma or GED;
and
Four (4) years of experience in any combination of the following areas:
data analysis
computer-aided dispatch
utilization of law enforcement database
dispatching
computer-aided research
Experience working in a public safety environment preferred.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Possession of, or ability to obtain, NCIC Certification, within six (6) months from date of hire.
Possession of National Incident Management System (NIMS) Certification preferred. Successfully pass the National Criminal Intelligence Recourse Center's 28 CFR Part 23 training within six (6) months from date of hire.
Satisfactory complete on-the-job training and pass the Real Time Crime Center Certification exam.
Holidays, evenings, weekends, irregular flexible hours and shift work may be required with possible extension of shift hours at times with short notice
Must pass Drug Test, Hearing Test, Criminal Records check, and Background check.
