The ideal candidate will monitor and analyze security alerts from tools like SIEM, EDR, and IDS/IPS to identify and respond to potential threats. You support incident investigations using forensic data and telemetry, and help tune detection rules to reduce false positives. Your role includes managing vulnerability scans, coordinating remediation efforts, and investigating email-based threats such as phishing. You also generate reports to track compliance and risk, maintain documentation, and provide regular updates on security posture and incident trends. This role is responsible for all of the outlined initiatives across the Sonepar Americas region. This region will include in-scope countries such as Canada, United States, Mexico, Brazil, Peru, Colombia and Chile.The Cyber Security Analyst role is based in our Hamilton, New Jersey office, hybrid work environment 3 days in the office per week. Qualifications: * 1-3 years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 2 years in a regional or global role. * Proven experience managing or supporting security operations, including understanding of regional threat landscapes and compliance requirements. * Familiarity with data privacy laws and regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, LGPD (Brazil), and other local standards. * Hands-on experience with Zscaler (ZIA/ZPA) and Tanium (especially modules like Patch, Discover, Threat Response) and Microsoft Defender XDR. * Strong knowledge of network security, endpoint protection, cloud security, and zero trust architectures. * Experience with SIEM platforms, EDR tools, and vulnerability management systems. * Ability to coordinate with global SOCs and regional IT/security teams. * Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; Spanish and/or Portuguese proficiency is highly desirable. * Experience working with cross-functional teams across different countries and cultures. * Ability to present technical findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.* Ability to track KPIs, generate reports, and support audits or assessments. * Be authorized to work for Sonepar in the United States without VISA sponsorship now or in the future. #LI-CM1 What We Offer You We offer great family-friendly benefits to full-time associates:[TABLE]We're proud to be a military-friendly company, and our many employee resource groups (ERGs) help you make connections and feel supported.
