AEITS, Inc. is looking to grow its team! We seek a LabDev Product Architect, Level 3, to support our customer in the Annapolis Junction, MD area.
Location: Annapolis Junction, Maryland area
~~~~ All work is on-site, in-person in a SCIF environment. This is not a hybrid or remote position.
Clearance: Active TS/SCI with a polygraph.
Certifications: None Required.
Mission: Analyzes user's requirements, concept of operations documents, and high-level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications. Analyzes system requirements and leads design and development activities.
Required Expertise
Assist with leading a product-development effort to enhance and sustain multiple R&D environments used for environment/system-software development and application development. Must be able to:
- Create Ansible code for system services and infrastructure management.
- Administrate and manage R&D environments, lab hardware, and IT services.
- Diagnose issues and resolve service requests from environment users.
- Create and iteratively refine system diagrams, design documentation, and implementation documentation with Product Owner (PO), leadership, and team members.
- Assist in breaking down technical work into stories, tasks, or tickets.
- Communicate with external vendors (equipment, software, tools, warranty).
- Guides the creation of work items for the team backlog.
- Plans, defines, and creates detailed designs of the products.
- Defines and communicates a shared technical and architectural vision to the team.
- Collaborates with Release Architects and other Product Architects to analyze technical trade-offs and define non-functional requirements, by:
-- Validating technology assumptions.
-- Evaluating implementation strategies.
-- Collaborating with Product Owner and Scrum Coach in preparation for SAFe/agile ceremonies, including Sprint Reviews, Inspect and Adapt, and Program Increment (PI) Planning events.
-- Enabling continuous delivery for the team.
-- Coordinating with Product Owner to take on work items from the backlog.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Leadership skills and/or experience with leading an effort.
- Technical planning for a 2-year timeframe.
- Linux system administration.
- Ansible, YAML
- Scripting/programming in Bash or Python.
- Communicative, collaborative, and organized.
- Self-motivated; works independently, as well as with a team, to ensure that all components are functioning properly.
- Will stay abreast of latest industry trends in both open source and commercial metrics and monitoring solutions. Supports determination of -if-and -when to incorporate them into an IaC solution.
- Willing to learn new tools and protocols.
- Government or Industry security practices, policies, and implementation, such as STE/STN.

EDUCATION
- A High School Diploma or GED plus twelve (12) years of general systems engineering experience; OR
- A Bachelor's degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus seven (7) years of systems engineering experience; OR
- A Master's degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus five (5) years of systems engineering experience; OR
- A PhD in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus three (3) years of systems engineering experience.
