Job Description:
Responsible for performing inspections on in-house machined and/or purchased precision parts, units, materials, equipment and all level of assemblies and quality control programs to specifications. Interprets manufacturing drawings, diagrams, BOM's, specifications and lists to approve or reject units, test setups, or systems of in process and final assemblies. Maintains support documentation and performs sampling and testing of incoming components, raw materials, and build of assemblies. Reviews and reports performance data. Ensures raw materials, in-process and finished products meet company and test standards. Determines or assists in determining methods and procedures necessary for inspection.
Essential Functions:
Perform inspections of components to ensure compliance to drawings, customer specifications and workmanship standards.
Communicates with contacts typically within the department on matters that involve obtaining or providing information requiring explanation or interpretation to understand and reach agreement.
Works to achieve operational targets within job area which has impact on the overall achievement of results for the team. Work is somewhat limited in scope, typically on smaller, less structured task-related activities.
Follows established processes to complete tasks. Identifies problems and issues in straightforward situations. Escalates issues to supervisor for resolution.
Visual inspection for workmanship and print compliance with aid of a microscope if applicable.
Maintain inspection logs and records.

Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years prior relevant experience or 2-year post-secondary/Associates degree with 0-2 year's relevant experience.
Ability of using precision measurement instruments such as a caliper, micrometer, and other required gages applicable to measurements.
Familiar with industry standards such as Mil Specs, IPC-A-610 and MIL-STD-883.
Familiar with mechanical measuring equipment such as Optical Gaging Product (OGP)
Knowledge and understanding of different materials used in manufacturing (aluminum, brass, copper, etc.).
Knowledge and understanding of tolerances and basic GD&T of blueprint drawings.
Must have excellent verbal communication skills to effectively articulate ideas and collaborate with colleagues.
Ability to meet or exceed targets, both individually and as part of a team.
