Job Summary
QTEC Aerospace is looking for highly capable and motivated individuals. The successful candidates will function as an integral member of a multi-contractor team providing program, engineering, and technical support to Missile Defense programs. The chosen candidate will be responsible for software development in the Java language.
Job Duties/Responsibilities
Responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to the following:
Responsible for performing in-depth analysis and technical support of systems software products, including complex problem resolution, design, development, testing, operational integration, and user support
Maintains, debugs, and configures related software products
Works from specifications to develop or modify operating systems applications
Assists with design, coding, benchmark testing, debugging and documentation of programs
Interfaces with other system support groups to resolve problems, set standards, and improve the overall efficiency of the operating system
Designs, codes, tests, and implements tools for operations automation
Works on most phases of software systems programming applications and may require instruction and guidance
Minimum Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or related field from an accredited college with at least 5 years of experience or an advanced degree with at least 3 years of experience
IAT Level II (Security+ or equivalent)
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Software engineering and software development with Java/JEE experience
Experience and knowledge of basic software practices such as coding standards and configuration management
Experience developing enterprise applications in Java on Linux. Familiarity with Java foundation classes and toolkits
Knowledge of server-side/database development and computer system administration
Experience working as part of an Agile team
Use of common software development and management tools such as git, Nexus, JIRA, Confluence, maven or Gradle, and Eclipse
Understanding of standard system engineering design artifacts such as Use Cases and SysML diagrams
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, and prepare and brief presentations to the customer as needed.

Experience with Risk Management Framework/STIG/Fortify/SonarQube mitigation
Experience with performance modeling
Experience with microservices
Experience with DevSecOps and/or build management
Designing and building Graphical User Interfaces
Good working knowledge of MS Office products
Security Clearance
Candidates must currently have and be able to maintain a minimum DoD SECRET level security clearance.
