Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Document Control Assistant to join our team! In this role you will get to support the organization, tracking, and distribution of project documents, ensuring accuracy, accessibility, and compliance with company and regulatory standards.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assists in organizing and maintaining project documents, including drawings, specifications, reports, and contracts, ensuring they are properly filed and easily accessible.
Supports the document control team in tracking and updating documents, ensuring revisions are recorded and stored correctly.
Assists in the distribution and submission of documents to internal teams, clients, and contractors in a timely manner.
Reviews documents for accuracy and completeness before submission, ensuring necessary approvals and signatures are obtained.
Helps maintain a document tracking system, ensuring all documents are stored in an organized manner and can be retrieved when needed.
Supports the creation and revision of project documents as required, following document control procedures and standards.
Coordinates the filing and archiving of project documents, both electronically and physically.
Provides assistance with audits and reporting on document control activities.
Assists in maintaining document control logs and records, ensuring accurate tracking of document flow.
Performs other administrative duties related to document control and project support as required.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Associate's Degree or relevant certifications preferred
Typically 2+ years of experience in document control or administrative support
Familiarity with document management software (e.g., SharePoint, Aconex, Procore) is a plus
SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records
Proficiency in MS Office Suite and document management systems
Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with project teams
Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
