Amentum is seeking a candidate to provide on-site support to the Advanced Capabilities Office/Advanced Resilience (ACO-AR). Successful candidates will lead activities in project management, technical and programmatic risk analysis, and program-funded test coordination. The candidate will also be responsible for coordinating meetings, assessing performer technical progress, projecting performer outcomes, ensuring that project management best practices are followed by performers, and supporting DARPA-funded independent verification and validation (IV&V) testing with performers and partners. The ideal candidate possesses technical expertise and experience with red teaming, vulnerability research, and/or reverse engineering of network edge devices, commercial cybersecurity apparatuses, and other enterprise network boundary devices. Exemplary candidates have demonstrated an ability to learn new subjects and gain rapid insights into current and next-generation cyber research and prototyping, preferably with hands-on leadership of research programs at the performer level.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide on-site support to the Advanced Capabilities Office/Advanced Resilience (ACO-AR).
- Lead project management and risk analysis.
- Coordinate program-funded testing and IV&V efforts.
- Assess performer progress and ensure best practices.
- Apply expertise in red teaming, vulnerability research, and reverse engineering.
- Analyze cybersecurity and network boundary devices.
- Stay updated on emerging cyber research.
- Lead and adapt to hands-on research programs.
- Organize meetings and collaborate with stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
- Background in red teaming, vulnerability research, or reverse engineering.
- Experience formally documenting requirements and providing supporting evidence.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (i.e. electrical, computer, or network), computer science, or related field.
- Must have an Active Top Secret Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain an Active Top Secret Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of experience.
- Master’s or PhD Degree in engineering, computer science, or related field.
- Experience with enterprise or tactical network engineering and operations.
- Experience developing computer systems and ability to comprehend designs expressed in hardware description languages and/or programming languages.
- Familiar with COMSEC devices and key management, classified network accreditation, and/or DOD cyber security activities.
- Education and/or experience using Formal Methods, such as using automated reasoning tools to verify software or generating trustworthy implementations automatically from specifications.
- Excellent technical writing skills, including the ability to proofread and perform quality control on technical documents and briefing slides.
