Title: Business Intelligence Analyst Location: United States-Virginia-Virginia Beach Job Number: 250000QZ Job Summary: Manages the day-to-day functionality of the Business Intelligence network. Creates and tests analytic methods for business intelligence improvement for merchandise requirements. Duties and Responsibilities: - Supervises the Merchandise Analyst. - Develops analytical and productivity enhancements utilizing the business intelligence tool to develop documents and reports with the collaboration of Code M merchants. - Manages and updates the creative design of the business intelligence solution. - Develops, Implements and performs analysis on special projects. - Develops and manages the business intelligence analytic workflow and schedule - Creates curriculum and performs training on business intelligence systems. - Assists in managing and ensuring data integrity within the Business Intelligence and Planning systems; partners with other Code's to ensure guidelines are followed. - Identifies opportunities working with the Code M buyers for improved analytics and distribution utilizing the business intelligence tool - Works directly with the Business Intelligence and Planning Manager to streamline data flow and processes. - A strong acumen in Microsoft Excel workbooks to develop and generate spreadsheets as necessary for use in business analytics. - A working knowledge of Visual Basic programming for applications, and intermediate understanding of SQL system. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications: A total of 4 years experience, consisting of the following: General Experience: 3 years experience which gained in administrative, professional, technical or other responsible work, which enabled the applicant to gain knowledge of retail procurement practices and merchandising or financial planning; interpersonal skills dealing with others in work relationships; ability to exercise mature judgement. OR SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE: 1 year academic study above the high school level may be substituted for 9 months of experience, up to a maximum of a 4-year bachelor's degree for 3 years general experience. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: 2 years of progressively responsible experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or a related field (preferably within the retail industry but not required). Experience includes working with merchandise planning, sales forecasting, inventory management, or pricing optimization. And experience developing and implementing BI dashboards, reports, and analytics solutions to support retail operations and decision-making. Proficient in BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, Qlik), SQL, and database management, with familiarity in retail BI platforms (SAP BW, Oracle Retail, Microsoft Dynamics). Job: Merchandising Systems
