You will work with the AWS Account Managers, Solution Architects, Professional Services, Emerging Technologies, and Service Team Subject Matter Experts to remove obstacles, solve customer problems, and facilitate mission workload transformation. Candidates should drive continuous process improvement, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional business and software development teams to solve problems and implement new solutions. The Customer Solutions Manager will interact with a broad cross section of Amazon Web Services spanning a wide range of technologies to meet specific Customer requirements and mission delivery.
Key job responsibilities
Working with organizations in all stages of their cloud adoption, Customer Solutions Managers (CSMs) are advocates guiding customers through the value realization, enablement, and governance of their cloud transformation journey.
Value Realization: You identify and accelerate the customer's realization of value throughout the cloud lifecycle through the adoption of AWS services, AWS partner solutions, AWS best practices, and other.
Enablement: You help customers achieve organizational cloud readiness, cloud fluency and cloud skills through skills guilds, experience-based accelerators, training partners, and other.
Governance: You establish and mature operating models / structures to drive scale and long-term success through the application of AWS frameworks and mechanisms.
Core Responsibilities
Meet regularly with Customer Mission Owners and Mission Operation Team Leaders to understand current and future plans, drivers, blockers and develop solutions.
Work with Mission Owners and AWS Subject Matter Experts, Solutions Architects, and Professional Service Engineers to develop solutions and oversee implementation.
Meet regularly with Mission Owners and Mission Development / Operation Team Leaders to oversee workload development/transition status, identify and remove development blockers, and develop plans for future enhancements.
Solicit performance feedback, identify and eliminate blockers, identify and coordinate AWS resources needed to move workload development forward.
Track and report transformation and capacity planning metrics to Mission Owners and AWS NatSec Space and Sensors to ensure capacity and professional resources are provided ahead of demand.
Support AWS NatSec Space and Sensors Account Managers and Teams through internal activities and during Customer Engagements focused on moving from first-call to active project/program production workloads on AWS.
Ability to obtain the Solution Architect Associate certification within 3 months of employment.
This position requires that the candidate selected be a US Citizen and be eligible for, obtain, and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance.

You will work across AWS to apply your technical, business, and program management expertise to solve some of the most complex and challenging technology problems for our customers.
Working backwards from the customer, you will define opportunities and understand associated business and technical risks that are strategic to the customer's cloud journey including large-scale migrations, data analytics, digital transformation and innovation, business agility and other.
You will influence technical stakeholders, partner with cross-functional teams and pre/post sales to drive detailed discussions seeking alignment to deliver cloud adoption and migration strategies with, and on behalf of your customer.

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in science, technology, engineering, math, business or equivalent
8+ years of experience driving technology initiatives including 5+ years of customer-facing experience delivering technology enabled transformations
5+ years of leading large-scale, technical or engineering programs with a proven record of thought leadership, business case development, realizing customer benefits, and successful program completion experience
2+ years of customer-facing work, engaging with customer executives, technologists or partners to solve business problems with advanced technologies experience
Experience leading technical and non-technical transformation project teams with a proven ability to work across broad functional teams
Demonstrated technical breadth in AWS and/or Cloud fundamentals
Effective communication skills (active-listening, verbal, written, and presentation) including progress updates, risk management, execution planning, metrics establishment / tracking, presentations, technical content, public speaking and white papers
Preferred Qualifications
PMP certification, or SCRUM/Agile, SAFe certification
Experience implementing cloud services including migrations and modernization projects or similar
A basic understanding of the DoD and the IC with particular emphasis on the USSF, the NGA, and the NRO.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $138,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $239,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
