Our client, a leader in National Security , is seeking a Data Scientist to join their team. As a Data Scientist, you will be part of the Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, and Explosives (CBRNE) Defense business line supporting the Hazard Modeling Team. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, effective communication abilities, and a collaborative mindset which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Data Scientist
Location: Columbus, OH 43201 (100% Onsite, Mon-Fri, Normal Business Hours)
Pay Range: $57.47/HR + Benefits
Contract Duration: 6+ Month, potential to extend pending budget, performance, and workload.
Job Function:
Serve as technical lead for a small team of data scientists in executing annual quantitative risk assessments for CBRNE terrorism attacks.
Determine improvements and maintenance activities to enhance the efficiency of existing risk execution systems/software.
Maintain detailed internal documentation on execution processes and high-level client-facing documentation for risk analysis/results.
Present risk results and modeling/data updates to clients and external stakeholders on an annual basis.
Monitor task completion and communicate progress to the client during weekly teleconferences.
Required Qualifications:
Required United States Citizen, Eligible to receive Security Clearance
Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience, Master's with 2+ years, or Ph.D. in Physics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related scientific field.
Strong understanding of higher-level mathematics including calculus, differential equations, and linear algebra.
At least one year of experience in project management or task leadership with a proven ability to meet project deadlines.
At least 3 years of experience in modeling & simulation , statistical analysis , quantitative risk assessment , or related field.
Experience using object-oriented programming in C++ , C# , Java , or similar to develop mathematical models .
