AEITS, Inc. is looking to grow its team! We are seeking Zero Trust System Engineer Level II, to support our customer in the Annapolis Junction, MD area. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to ensure the design, implementation, and management of secure, robust, and compliant IT systems. This position requires expertise in Zero Trust principles, security monitoring, vulnerability analysis, and enterprise security architecture.
Mission: As a Zero Trust System Engineer on this government program, you will be providing support for this important government agency.
Location: Annapolis Junction, Maryland
All work is on-site. This is not a hybrid or remote position.
Clearance: CCA POLY acceptable to start. Must be eligible for TS/SCI with further polygraph testing.

- Bachelor's degree in system engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited institution.
- Design, build, and maintain secure IT systems following Zero Trust principles.
- Implement, monitor, and manage security solutions, ensuring compliance with industry standards and security policies.
- Perform security assessments, vulnerability analysis, and develop security recommendations.
- Administer and configure Microsoft Active Directory, SQL Server, and System Configuration Center Manager (SCCM).
- Collaborate on security operations and network monitoring efforts, identifying and mitigating risks.
- Implement encryption protocols and key management to safeguard data.
- Support enterprise security architecture and provide recommendations for improvements.
- Stay up to date with the latest trends in cybersecurity, focusing on Zero Trust and threat-based cybersecurity frameworks.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Zero Trust architecture and its implementation.
- Familiarity with the latest trends in cybersecurity, particularly related to Zero Trust and threat-based models.
- In-depth knowledge of security and network operations, monitoring, and vulnerability analysis.
- Strong knowledge of Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), data encryption, and key management.
- Experience with enterprise security architecture, including design, deployment, and maintenance of IT systems.
- Knowledge of industry standards for security assessments, compliance, and adherence to security policies.
- Familiarity with Cybersecurity best practices and the latest threat-based frameworks.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Active Directory administration, SQL Server, and SCCM management and deployment.
Mandatory Requirements
- Five (5) to twelve (12) years of experience as a systems engineer with a focus on cybersecurity in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
Education and Required Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in system engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited institution.
OR
- Five (5) years of additional experience in system engineering may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
Travel
- Less than 10% of travel may occur.
