Splunk Engineer, Senior
Key Role:
Develops and operationalizes software solutions and systems that perform cyber
data analytics at scale in a variety of technology platforms. Applies advanced
skills, extensive technical expertise, and full industry knowledge.
Develops innovative solutions to complex problems. Works without considerable
direction. Mentors and may supervise team members.
Basic Qualifications:
5+ years of experience with deploying, configuring, and performing
functional testing and data validation in a Splunk environment
5+ years of experience with Splunk performing systems administration,
including performing installation, configuration, monitoring system
performance and availability, upgrades, and troubleshooting in Windows and
Linux Server environments
Experience creating custom dashboards, writing queries, generating
reports, and setting up alerts and notifications
Experience with DoD Risk Management Framework
Experience with automating deployments and configuration management
Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam
Associate's degree and 10+ years of experience with cybersecurity or
Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of experience with cybersecurity
DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification, including Security+ CE,
CCNA-Security, GSEC, SSCP, CySA+, GICSP, or CND Certification
DoD 8570 Cybersecurity Service Provider (CSSP) Infrastructure Support
(IS) Certification, including CEH, CySA+, GICSP, SSCP, CHFI,
CFR, Cloud+, or CND Certification
Additional Qualifications:
Experience with field abstraction
Experience with Cribl
Experience with workflows and drill-down query
Experience with administering Splunk in distributed deployments and data
modeling using Splunk
Experience with performing site surveys, data gathering, and research and
analysis regarding deploying and implementing security tools
Experience with DevSecOps and Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana (ELK)
Ability to ingest and parse logs within Splunk
Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills, including
using presentation expertise to convey complex ideas to clients and internal
staff
Possession of excellent problem-solving skills
Splunk Certified Power User or advanced Splunk Certification
Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not
limited to location, the individual's particular combination of
education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well
as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The
projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to
$193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the
typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz
Allen's total compensation package for employees. This posting will close
