Description:Lockheed Martin's MFC is seeking a highly motivated and innovative college level candidate looking to advance technical skills, leadership qualities, and practical experience for the Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) discipline. This candidate will be supporting the Dallas, Texas location. A successful candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced engineers and contribute to the development and implementation of E3 projects. This internship will provide hands-on experience and exposure to the principles and practices of E3, including electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), electromagnetic interference (EMI), and electromagnetic pulse (EMP) effects.

The candidate would support tasking for various MFC programs including:

• Test and Analysis: Supporting test planning, coordination, and execution of EMC test events, and analyzing test data to ensure design meets requirements

• Design and Development: Assisting in the design, development, and testing of E3-related projects, including data collection and analysis

•Research and Collaboration: Conducting research and analysis on E3-related topics, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement E3 mitigation strategies and techniques

• Documentation and Communication: Developing and maintaining documentation, including reports and technical notes, and participating in meetings and discussions with internal and external stakeholders to communicate E3-related information and results
Basic Qualifications:
• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related field

• Completed coursework or experience in electromagnetic theory, electromagnetics, and/or related electrical engineering

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to apply theoretical concepts to practical problems

•Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders

• Ability to obtain secret clearance
Desired Skills:
• Experience with electromagnetic simulation tools, such as CST, HFSS, or equivalent

• Participation in research projects or internships related to Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3)

• Strong understanding of fundamental concepts in electromagnetics, including Maxwell's equations and electromagnetic wave propagation

• Familiarity with E3-related topics, including: Electromagnetic interference (EMI), Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), Electromagnetic vulnerability (EMV), Electromagnetic pulse (EMP), Lightning, and Precipitation static (P-Static)
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
