Summary/Objective:
Unloading vehicles off rail cars.
Remove rail chalks from tires.
Drive vehicles off rail cars.
Drive vehicles to specific locations.
Lifting and laying bridge plates
Working in very tight spaces between rail cars and vehicles climbing up/down and in/out of rail cars. Competencies
Ability to operate a vehicle.
Safety-conscious person.
Ability to climb and do heavy lifting
Ability to follow strict damage prevention procedures Supervisory Responsibility This position has no direct reports.
Work Environment Outdoors exposed to changing and/or extreme weather conditions (for instance, rain, sun, snow, wind, humidity, etc.).
Physical Demands Heavy physical activity performing strenuous day activities of a primarily production/technical nature.
Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items, works with the fingers, and perceives attributes of objects and materials Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position.
Days and hours of work are primarily 8 hours each day, five days a week.
This position often requires overtime. Computer operations Basic personal computer skills. Work Authorization/Security Clearance Must be able to obtain eRailSafe certification.
