Duties: Research, design, and develop computer and network software
programs. Analyze user needs and develop solutions. Design, develop, and
maintain software specialized with complex three-dimensional computer
graphics. Research, validate, and implement optimization techniques to
support rendering complexity of large GIS and remote sensing data sets. Extend
proprietary software development platform with specialized application
programming interfaces (APIs). Combine and integrate internal and external
APIs and software development kits (SDKs) into internal platforms. Work
with local product management and product engineering teams to shape technical
roadmap and contribute to product roadmap. Collaborate and coordinate projects
with other product development groups, locally and internationally, who
build and integrate software. Implement automated integration and performance
tests.
Telecommuting is permitted 100%. Position reports to company HQ in
Westminster, CO.
Requirements: Position requires a Master's degree in Computer Science,
Geographical Information Systems, or related field and 2 years of experience
in a related occupation. Must include some experience in each of the
following: 1) SDLC in Geospatial industry; 2) C# programming using
Microsoft Visual Studio; 3) C++ programming; 4) Agile DevOps
toolchain setup and usage (Team Foundation Server, Jira, Bamboo, and
CruiseControl); 5) Remote sensing and image processing and 3D scanner
and point cloud processing; 6) Three-dimensional graphics programming
within geospatial applications using contemporary application programming
interfaces APIs; 7) Relational database design and development to manage
Geographic Information System (GIS) information; 8) Implementation of
automated unit, integration, and performance tests.
