Overview
TRANSITIONING SERVICE MEMBERS ONLY AS PART OF THE DOD SKILLBRIDGE PROGRAM
To monitor and perform scanning, provides the first-tier response for all false positives. Ensure adherence to standard operating procedure for detecting, classifying and reporting vulnerabilities. This role will work closely with other vulnerability assessment team members to identify threats and vulnerabilities to the organization. Will partner with additional teams within Navy Federal Credit Union to protect the Navy Federal brand, data, and IT assets from cyber-based threats. Performs role under supervision.
Responsibilities
Performing Ad-Hoc scanning
Review false positives and provide feedback to vulnerability owner
Review scheduled scans to assure that scans are successfully completed
Prepare CISO daily briefing
Create daily reports for daily briefing - (Daily scan results, third party finding)
Perform IP/Subnet reconciliation with an oversight of Level 2-4
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Knowledge in computer administration or Network administration
Information Technology, Information Science, Communications or Technical Writing experience with IT related experience
Desire to work in an IT environment, specifically in the area of Information Security
Demonstrate problem solving, analytical and process development skills
Must be a team player with a cooperative and energetic spirit with a willingness to learn
Excellent customer service skills and interaction
Ability to work and communicate with all levels of Management and Staff
One- or two-years' experience in Information security or Cyber security area is Plus
Knowledge of industry standards and frameworks, including NIST,PCI, ISO, OWASP, and COBIT
Experience with / understanding of different threats to an organization
Desired: Previous experience within the financial sector
Desired: Junior, Senior or Graduate studies
Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00AM - 4:30PM
Locations: Vienna, VA; Pensacola, FL
Salary: $32.84 - $51.59 (Per Comp guidelines) (Potential salary if hired by Navy Federal as a full-time employee: SkillBridge participants are not eligible for compensation from Navy Federal, as they continue to receive military compensation and benefits as active-duty service members.
