SRC, Inc. is currently seeking aSenior Software Engineer to support a high visibility research and development program working with multi-disciplinary engineering teams to develop tools and processes within a hardware in the loop lab (HWIL) environment. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will work with multi-disciplinary engineering teams to develop tools and processes within a hardware in the loop lab (HWIL) environment. You will be responsible for improving an existing SW baseline with feature improvements based on user feedback. You will support data analysis on data collected from electronic warfare (EW) HWIL testing, comparing truth and measured data for validating system detection, validation, and location performance. You will also develop SCPI/VISA command and control applications for commercial off the shelf (COTS) test and measurement equipment.
What You'll Do
Develop and maintain tools for converting between data formats (Binary, JSON, WDW, XML)
Review code for legacy conversion and analysis tools and develop documentation, bug resolution, and feature improvements
Develop user interface for controlling test and measurement equipment and provide situational awareness of complex real-time EW simulation systems
Analyze problem space and propose SW solutions for data analysis efforts within a lab environment
Architect Software Designs and Documentation, following best engineering practices
Automated Health Check and Emitter validation (Hardware control and data analysis. Comparing truth and measure data)
Realtime RF analysis and RF stimulus health status (hardware control and data analysis)
Socket/VISA programming experience and SCPI command for test and measurement control
NGTS Scenario Conversion to Legacy Scenario's (Data conversion. One Mission Model to drive all HITL RF Stimulators)
Implementation of build pipelines, unit, and regression testing
GUI development using modern UI/UX principles
Interface with APIs for 3rd party software control and integration with existing SW tools use for signal analysis and control
What You'll Bring
Bachelors in mathematics, physics, engineering, computer science or equivalent STEM degree
10+ years' experience in software programming, and conducting measurement and signal analysis for the EW community
An active Secret clearance is required
Experience with agile software development, continuous integration/deployment processes, and/or test-driven development
Experience with electronic warfare and threat systems
Experience with EWIR toolkit and related intelligence products
Ability and desire to work on multi-disciplinary engineering teams
Participate in the team's agile development process
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Effective presentation and problem-solving skills
Familiarity with scripting and programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, MATLAB, C, C#, and C++ under Microsoft Windows and Linux platforms
Proficiency with measurement automation tools and scripting languages such as VISA, and SCPI
Familiarity with Qt and .NET libraries
Familiarity with agile tools such as GitHub, Jira, BitBucket
Work on-site at Wright Patterson AFB
