Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Production Support Specialist to join our team! In this role, you will get to provide technical editing support for various documents and publications.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Review and edit technical documents, reports, and publications for clarity, grammar, and accuracy.
- Ensure consistency and adherence to style guides and formatting standards.
- Collaborate with authors and subject matter experts to clarify content and resolve discrepancies.
- Manage document version control and maintain organized records of revisions.
- Prepare documents for publication, including formatting, layout, and graphic integration.
- Conduct quality assurance checks to ensure final documents are error-free.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of templates and style guides.
- Provide support for document management systems and processes.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in technical editing or a related field.
- Excellent command of the English language, including grammar, punctuation, and style.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and correct errors.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with document management systems and version control
- Active Top Secret with SCI eligibility.
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
- Familiarity with technical terminology and concepts in engineering or related fields.
- Experience with graphic design software (e.g., Adobe InDesign, Illustrator).
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Active TS/SCI.
