The Opportunity:
In this role, you will report to the Manager, Onsite Services and will work closely with the Avantor's Lab and Production Services team of over 1,500 on- and off-site expert personnel - and our customers - to perform customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science.

What we're looking for
High school diploma or GED is required; Associate degree or undergraduate degree in business or science related field is preferred.
4 years' experience in customer services, purchasing, and/or account management required; Previous experience managing associates is required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and basic understanding of Microsoft Access.
Spill containment, IATA, DOT, IMDG and Hazwoper training a plus.
GMP and GLP training a plus.
CPR training and OSHA Right to Know preferred.
Inside sales experience and cross-referencing skills a plus.
Potential to manage Scientific Services.
Valid Driver's license and reliable transportation.
Ability to conform to all customer requirements for background checks, health and safety issues, security clearances and medical checkups.
Knowledge of Information Access and ERP Systems; intermediate Microsoft Office Knowledge with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and basic understanding of Microsoft Access.
Excellent customer service skills: display a professional can do attitude.
Basic purchasing and inventory knowledge.
High regard for safety, quality and adherence to protocols, policies, and procedures.
Must be flexible, adaptable, and multitask oriented.

In this role you will:
Responsible for the day-to-day operational management of the Avantor Services team on our customer site including health and safety requirements, training/compliance, and line management of the Avantor staff to ensure delivery of a high-quality service to our customer, liaise with other suppliers, senior stakeholders and the science community ensuring continuity of contracted services by measuring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and adhering to Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
