AEITS, Inc. is looking to grow its team! We are seeking a Systems Engineer Level 4 to support our customer in the Annapolis Junction, MD area. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and a deep understanding of high-performance computing (HPC) engineering principles, ensuring seamless integration of hardware, software, and personnel components into a cohesive system.
The primary requirements for the SE4 role are collating vast amounts of systems related information and assimilating the same in the context of the HPC domain for ATI (Advanced Technology Initiative).
Mission: The ideal HPC Systems Engineer Level 4 candidate has experience with gathering large amounts of information on system architecture, system integration, software architecture and development and then assimilating, adding self-knowledge or acquired knowledge gained via self-initiative, on High Performance Computing systems.
Location: Annapolis Junction, Maryland
All work is on-site. This is not a hybrid or remote position.
Clearance: Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance with Polygraph.

- U.S. Citizenship
- Active TS/SCI with polygraph
- Appropriate degree and years of experience; see Education below.
- Can apply systems engineering principles throughout the systems life cycle phases: Concept, Development, Production, Utilization, Support, and Retirement. Interacts with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues or conflicts.
- Communicates well with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives.
- Knowledgeable and responsible for the technical integrity, quality, and completeness of work performed and deliverables associated with one or more of the 25 process areas defined by ISO/IEC15288:
• Technical Process Area - Stakeholder Requirements Definition, Requirements Analysis, Architectural Design, Implementation, Integration, Verification, Transition, Validation, Operation, Maintenance, and Disposal.
• Project Process Area - Project Planning, Project Assessment and Control, Decision Management, Risk Management, Configuration Management, Information Management, and Measurement.
• Enterprise (Organizational Project-Enabling) Process Area - Project Portfolio Management, Infrastructure Management, Lifecycle Model Management, Human Resource Management, and Quality Management.
• Agreement Process Area - Acquisition and Supply.
Education and Required Qualification
- A High School Diploma or GED plus fourteen (14) years of general system engineering experience.
OR
- A Bachelor's degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus ten (10) years of systems engineering experience.
OR
- A Master's degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus eight (8) years of systems engineering experience.
OR
- A PhD in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus eight (8) years of systems engineering experience.
Travel
- Less than 10% of travel may occur.
