Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Systems Engineer (III) for EPASS GB contract, supporting the Air Force Division.
As part of the AFLCMC/GB Business and Enterprise Systems Directorate (BES), the Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability for PODs (RAMPOD) program provides serialized asset tracking to collect, process, collate, validate, report, and archive reliability, availability, maintainability, configuration, inventory, status, performance (sortie/mission), maintenance and warranty data for Pods and Integrated Systems through web- based applications. RAMPOD is designated as a critical Financial Feeder System to the Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS).

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
Possesses the advanced knowledge, experience and recognized ability to be considered an expert in their technical/professional field, possess the ability to perform tasks and oversee the efforts of junior and mid-level personnel within the technical/professional discipline. Will demonstrate advanced knowledge of their technical/professional discipline as well as possess a comprehensive understanding and ability to apply associated standards, procedures and practices in their area of expertise. (Program Office, Enterprise and Staff Level Support interface)
Advanced Degree (MA/MS) or Doctorate from an ABET accredited program in Computer Science, Information Technology or other Engineering Discipline and 10 years of experience, 5 of which must be in the DoD, or
BA/BS Degree from an ABET accredited program in Computer Science, Information Technology or other Engineering Discipline and 12 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, 5 of which must be in the DoD, or,
15 years of directly related experience with proper certifications, 8 of which must be in the DoD.
Active Secret Clearance. Current U.S. Citizenship Required
Certifications:
AWS Certified Solutions Architect, (or associate)
AWS Cloud Practitioner or Microsoft Axure equivalent
Current certification in Oracle/OCI products and/or databases
CompTIA Security+ CE - Required
Agile/Scrum Certifications - Desired

RESPONSIBILITIES
Identify, describe, and apply emerging IT acquisition strategies, best practices, IT-related performance measures and quality management in support of acquisition planning, information assurance/cybersecurity, test and evaluation processes, verification and validation processes, and/or, fielding and sustaining of IT/software systems;
Conduct reviews on program portfolio to evaluate and/or recommend alternative plans, improve systems engineering programs/processes, manage/sustain program technical baseline, and design/perform system level tests to assure that subsystems and system performance is achieved in accordance with approved specifications;
Perform program reviews to evaluate alternative proposed plans, systems engineering programs, design and test results to assure that subsystem and system performance is achieved in accordance with program specifications;
Prepare technical documentation which defines, specifies, and recommends system/subsystem characteristics;
