Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented BMS Engineer to join our team!
In this role, you will join a leading professional engineering, construction, and cost management team working on multiple projects in the King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD) by providing professional support to the program projects, emphasizing the promotion and maintenance of the technical adequacy, uniformity, and quality of the project designs in conformance with approved standards and codes related to Building Management Systems.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Design, create, and modify ESS designs from initial concept to release for construction (RFC)
- Project/Construction Management and Supervision of completed site activities by the contractor.
- Review Materials inspections (MIR) and work inspections (WIR) according to project specifications and requirements.
- Interpret specifications and requirements and prepare requests for information (RFIs) when needed.
- Reviewing shop drawings and other submittals for operational projects.
- Read and interpret blueprints and system wiring schematics.
- Assist project manager in planning and scheduling work packages.
- Work closely with Engineers and the Project Management team to modify or change designs as needed.
- Modify, update, and prepare red-line & As-Built drawing sets.
- Provide project status/updates to the project manager and team leader.
- Utilize controlled documentation and government standards, application guides, and industry best practices to complete onsite installations at various locations worldwide.
- Apply existing knowledge base to rapidly obtain proficiency in newly developed components and systems.
- Leverage the manufacturer’s literature and technical support to develop a finished product quickly.
- In-depth knowledge of open BAS protocols and communications - BACnet, LON, MODBUS, Ethernet, Web-Services, and HTML
- Strong experience with the operation and maintenance of building cooling and related mechanical systems (HVAC, Chilled Water, DX Refrigerant, Evaporative, and related control systems)
- Additional development and responsibilities may include.
- Install, program, troubleshoot, and test for BMS system components.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:
- Ability to logically and objectively analyze problems, apply sound judgment in assessing possible solutions, adjust to changing priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail
- Ability to effectively delegate tasks and follow - up on their completion to ensure all deadlines are met
- Effective written and oral communication skills and ability to present technical findings clearly and concisely to non-technical personnel
- Knowledge and hands-on familiarity with computer systems, computer security, and familiarity with operating systems, hardware platforms, and networks; and
- Ability to read, interpret, and create electrical and electromechanical schematics and architectural drawings, including electrical /mechanical building systems drawings.
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
- CCNA, or CompTIA Security+ recommended.
- AutoCAD a plus
- Certifications related to specific BMS components or integrated systems.
Qualification and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechatronics /Electrical/Electronic engineering
- 10+ years related BMS and Engineering experience or a broad general engineering background in a supervision/design consultancy company.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
Potential to perform in a lead capacity, excellent written and oral communication skills, and familiarity with industry practices and regulations are required. Must also possess a thorough knowledge of current BMS technology and be able to select and apply appropriate engineering software for use on the project.
