AEITS, Inc. is looking to grow its team! We are seeking a Data Management Systems Administrator, Level 2, to support our customer in the Annapolis Junction, MD area. The Data Management Systems Administrator is responsible for maintaining and optimizing data management systems, ensuring the smooth storage, retrieval, and integrity of data across platforms. This role includes troubleshooting complex issues, performing system upgrades, and providing support to ensure seamless data flow and security.
Mission: As a Data Management Systems Administrator, Level 2 on this government program, you will be providing support for this important government agency.
Location: Annapolis Junction, Maryland
All work is on-site. This is not a hybrid or remote position.
~~~~Shift work; Tuesday-Saturday 9am-5pm or 10am-6pm
Clearance: Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance with Polygraph.
Certifications:
- IAT Level 1
- CompTIA Security+ CE
Requirements:
- U.S. Citizenship
- Active TS/SCI with polygraph
- A Bachelors in Computer Science or other IT related fields and 10+ years of experience.
- Proven experience in managing and optimizing data management systems.
- Strong knowledge of data storage, retrieval, and backup/recovery processes.
- Proficiency in database management systems (e.g., SQL, Oracle, etc.) and related technologies.
- Experience with data security protocols and ensuring compliance with data protection regulations.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for complex data-related issues.
- Familiarity with system performance monitoring tools and techniques.
- Ability to perform system upgrades, patches, and maintenance tasks effectively.
- Experience with scripting or automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, Python) is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide support.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Desired Requirements
- Knowledge of backup applications such as NetBackup, Avamar, and Commvault
Education and Required Qualification
- Bachelor's degree and Ten (10) years of demonstrated combined experience in DoD program management or relevant experience.
OR
- High-School Diploma or GED and Fifteen (15) years of demonstrated combined experience in DoD program management or relevant experience.
Travel
- Less than 10% of travel may occur.
