The Safety & Facilities Member should be proactive, professional and a team player. This position requires both surveillance and facilities experience as well as knowledge of the population we serve. As A Safety & Facilities Member, You Will Inspect and patrol agency sites regularly; observe for signs of crime or disorder and report findings to the appropriate agency management team member. Monitor unusual or suspicious or unlawful activities within assigned agency sites to prevent vandalism, theft, or other criminal behavior. Report any unlawful activity or disturbances to local law enforcement; assist in the resolution as deemed appropriate and within specified parameters.Provide assistance to staff or customers during any emergency matter, as necessary.Monitor and control access to CEO sites or parking lots consistent with protocols and procedures. Outside grounds keeping- Conduct inspection and general clean-up of garbage and debris outside of the assigned facility and playground. Take out garbage, clean receptacle if neededOversee agency vehicle management procedures including visual inspections. Report any safety related issues identified during the completion of work, this will include blocked exits, out of order bathrooms or lighting, etc. Check paper product inventory, stock bathrooms and soap dispensers. Follow all established policies and procedures relating to health and safety practices.Report to other sites to assist with facilities related projects as assigned. QualificationsValid NYS driver's license required Previous experience with security, custodian or facilities maintenance. Security guard certification a plusHigh school or equivalent completion required. Some college preferred.
