Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Software Engineering Intern to join our team! In this role you will get to work on Team Awareness Kit (TAK) with our teams to integrate sensors and data onto a common operating picture.
The Software Engineering Intern will work alongside the Drone Program Manager, operations team, and technical project personnel to address the growing needs of unmanned technology across the industries that Parsons supports.

What You'll Be Doing:
Assist in the setup, configuration, and maintenance of Team Awareness Kit (TAK) servers.
Develop, test, and deploy software applications within the TAK architecture.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and deliver solutions.
Participate in code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure high-quality deliverables.
Document development processes, technical specifications, and user guides.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Geospatial Science, or a related field.
Coursework in programming languages such as Java, C++, or Python.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Eagerness to learn and take on new challenges.
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
Basic understanding of TAK (Team Awareness Kit) and its applications.
Ability to develop and maintain TAK plugins, contributing to the full software development life cycle.
Knowledge of geospatial libraries and APIs
Previous internship or project experience in software development.
Familiarity with GitHub

Salary Range:
$21.44 - $37.55
