Overview:
ACS Professional Staffing is looking for an employee to work on-site with our client. This Cartographic Technician 2 position will support and assist the Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing section of the Geomatics organization. This position will provide professional Geomatics (Remote Sensing/GIS) services utilizing computerized data capture, storage, query, and analysis techniques for visual displays, spatial analysis, and tabular reports on a wide variety of geographical projects. The ideal candidate will not only possess the requisite technical skills but will also be self-motivated, able to communicate professionally with a wide variety of organizational clients, and able to navigate changing priorities and tight deadlines. This full-time position is located in Vancouver, WA.
Pay range: $27.58 - $38.20

Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain databases and verify data quality using automated and manual techniques to enter, edit, and process data sets.
Design and prepare publication quality cartographic products using industry and organizational standards.
Assist in preparation of GIS projects. Prepare data for conversion and editing.
Process special, ad-hoc mapping requests.
Assist with photogrammetric modeling and compilations, which includes compiling control points, aerial triangulation, terrain editing, orthorectification, and planimetric mapping, etc.).
Provide file management for geospatial data mediums. Maintain files and records in accordance with compliance requirements.
Create and maintain metadata of newly created data sets to track the source, scale, currency, and other pertinent geographic information, as well as any modifications to the data set.
Provide Geospatial support in the maintenance, operation, and development of new facilities (e.g. compiling historical mapping data, cartographic map production, etc.).
Provide professional Geospatial (Remote Sensing/GIS) services utilizing computerized data capture, storage, query, and analysis techniques for visual displays, spatial analysis, and tabular reports on a wide variety of geographical projects.
Mark documents and maintain filing system(s), files, emails and records in accordance with compliance requirements. Share and disperse documents only to appropriate personnel (those with a Lawful Government Purpose (LGP) to know). Mark and maintain all official records in accordance with the Information Security (INFOSEC) and Information Governance & Lifecycle Management (IGLM) standards and procedures. Validate official records are accurately maintained for auditing purposes. Participate in organizational efforts to recommend and develop process solutions to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of TERG operations, leveraging industry knowledge and best practices. Assist staff in developing process tools that promote effective coordination of records, process maps and operating procedures that are shared or exchanged between work teams and functions.
