Job Description
Position Overview:
We are seeking a Penetration Tester to join our growing team in North America. The Penetration Tester will report to the manager of the Attack Surface Reduction team.
The penetration tester uses hacking tools and techniques to find gaps in our system's security that an attacker could exploit. They determine how effective a systems security measures are, and document the findings in a report showing what they did, how successful they were and what recommendations they have. A penetration tester may be called on to provide recommendations on how to fix or lower these security risks. They will frequently collaborate with teams during the penetration test, and must stay current with the latest testing tools, methods, and threats.
Your Responsibilities:
Keep up to date on the latest vulnerabilities that may affect Rockwell Automation systems
Conduct triage of vulnerabilities based on criticality
Collaborate on current and emerging security threat trends with the team leader, Senior Penetration testers and the Threat Analysts, use this intelligence in preparation of future test strategies
Perform security assessments including application scans (using tools such as Qualys, Rapid 7, Burp Suite, etc)
Execute Red Team simulations based on organizationally defined threat scenarios with strict adherence to the agreed-upon rules of engagement
Demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment
The Essentials - You Will Have:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of relevant experience

Basic knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle
An understanding of Windows and Linux based systems
An understanding of common networking protocols, such as HTTP, DNS, TLS
An understanding of common exploitation vectors
Describe vulnerabilities and technical concepts to all levels
Familiar with tools such as Burp Suite Professional
Natural knowledge of the strengths and weaknesses of operating systems, network and security appliances, application language and software being used
Experience performing penetration testing in cloud-based environments
Experience with scripting, either Python, Powershell or another language
