Nightwing is seeking a Cyber Security Product Owner (PO) that applies current analytical and logical thinking to the design, architecture, development, evaluation, testing, and integration of computer systems, appliances, and networks to elevate the security posture of the program. This Cyber Security Engineer may be involved with commercial, custom and/or government computer product vendors in the design, evaluation, and architecture of state-of-the-art secure GOTS/COTS applications, operating systems, networks, databases, and custom-built technology. Attention to detail, honesty, out of the box thinking with a problem-solving mindset, be able to work under pressure, and be able to deliver on tight delivery schedules are very much desired. The Cyber Security Product Owner (PO) must display superb understanding and be knowledgeable with a multitude of technologies to include Azure and/or AWS Cloud, firewalls, web application firewalls, VPNs, DNS, Data Loss Prevention, IDS/IPS, and proxies, to name a few. Develops security systems for any manual or automated systems environments which comprises on-prem and Cloud based systems. Responsible for ensuring the protection of organization data against unauthorized disclosure, accidental or intentional loss of data, and unauthorized modification. The successful Cyber Security Engineer will be comfortable working with a variety of different tools and appliances, security challenges, and troubleshooting various complex issues. Responsibilities include: • Collaborating with prospective users and clients to understand and anticipate their needs and translate them into product requirements and developing user stories • Leading and collaborating within Agile Scrum teams as an Agile Release Train (ART) lead responsible for the integration and maintenance of advanced, cloud-based (AWS, Azure) cybersecurity software capabilities • Leading and facilitating program & team-related Agile events (PI Planning, Release Governance, Stand-Ups, Sprint Planning, etc.) while maintaining all artifacts (Backlogs, Decisions, Priorities, Blockers, etc.) • Eliminating impediments and actively addressing issues so that the team can remain focused on achieving the objectives of the Program Increment (PI) • Escalating as needed when blocking issues are beyond a team’s authority or require support from other teams • Fostering a collaborative team environment through coaching & leading appropriately • Leading and facilitating preparation & readiness for ART events & assisting teams in preparation for ART activities (e.g., PI Planning, System Demos, Inspect & Adapt, etc.) • Collaborating within Agile Scrum teams as a key contributor responsible for the design, test and implementation of advanced cybersecurity software capabilities • Review high quality technical documentation, including user guides, test plans, and contract deliverable items and supporting product training • Development of risk assessments and risk mitigation countermeasures • Leading or participating in trade studies to determine improvements to system capabilities • Defining the vision for the team’s product and creating a product road map based on this vision Required Skills: • An active Secret security clearance is the minimum required with the eligibility to obtain a TS/SCI. TS/SCI is preferred. • U.S. Citizenship • Must be able to obtain DHS Suitability • 6+ years of software development experience required. • 4+ years of hands-on experience with Java development and related technologies • 2+ years of experience with Agile software development • Experience in the installation and configuration of SecureSphere Imperva Web Application Firewalls (WAF), Database Activity Monitoring (DAM) • Advanced experience securing network traffic via AWS API Gateway and AWS Application Load Balancers, cloud-security technologies (e.g., VPC, Security Groups) and Access Control (IAM) • Familiarity with intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDS/IPS), RSA Security Analytics (NetWitness), Symantec Bluecoat, Cisco FirePower (SourceFire), Splunk, PKI, chain of trust, and certificates. etc. Desired Skills: 5+ years of Cloud DevOps Administrative or Engineering experience • 3+ years of related Network Security Identity Management tools engineering experience, including installing, configuring and troubleshooting experience with one or more of these tools: • 4+ years of hands-on experience with Java development and related technologies • SecureSphere Imperva Web Application Firewalls (WAF), Database Activity Monitoring (DAM) • RSA Security Analytics (NetWitness) • Symantec Bluecoat • Cisco FirePower (SourceFire) • Splunk Required Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Information Systems.
