Travel Requirement: As needed, up to 25%.

We are looking to hire Mid-Level Tactical Support Engineers to join our team in various locations in support of the USSOCOM Program Executive Office SOF Digital Applications’ (PEO-SDA) Global Systems Support Engineers (GSSE) contract. This position reports to the PGI Program Manager.
Job Description:
The Support Engineer will provide technical and analytical mission planning, execution, and post-mission system onsite support to SOCOM units. This includes providing Tactical Software, Mapping, Imagery and Geospatial Information Systems Support, Tactical Network Administration Support, Training Support and Enhancement and Upgrade Support to the customers. This position is contingent upon contract award.
The Mid-Level Tactical Support Engineers will be responsible for the following:
- Provide system support services in five (5) major areas:
- Tactical Software Support
- Mapping
- Imagery and Geospatial Information System Support
- Tactical Network Administration Support
- Training Support
- Enhancement and Upgrade Support
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of SOCOM experience.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, OR the equivalent technical training with experience that aligns directly to the duties to be performed in lieu of degree for specific user units.
- Minimum of 2 years, within the last 8 years, operational experience with/or supporting the assigned Component.
- Minimum of 5 years operational experience with or supporting an organization’s: navigation and mission planning techniques including preparation and check out of flight plans for aircraft weapons systems OR mission planning computer systems, communications, mission equipment, and planning techniques including preparation of unit mission plans for conduct of peacetime and wartime special operations missions.
- Ability to communicate issues and solutions to various stakeholders.
- Experience with the assigned Component’s tactical Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and mission guides.
- Knowledge of assigned Components operations and tactics.
- Excellent writing communication and reporting skills.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background investigation, drug screening and periodic random drug screening throughout the duration of employment.

Required Security Clearance:
Minimum of a US Government Secret clearance with TS eligibility
Preferred Qualifications
- Active DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
- 5+ years of SOCOM experience.
- DoD 8570 IAT Level 2, or higher certification.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to work at a desk using computers and other typical office equipment.
