Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Chief Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to lead an extremely talented group of software, systems, and data science engineers as part of the Program Management Office (PMO) for a prime contract.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Leading all technical efforts across a prime contract to ensure alignment of technical execution against mission customer requirements and expectations.
- Supporting the PM as part of the Program Management Office in all aspects of staffing and team mate management.
- Participate in weekly mission leadership meetings as well as quarterly program reviews with the contracting office.
- Participate in corporate technology forums and events. Ensure technical training and growth opportunities for team members supporting in a technical capacity.
- Provide technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technology.
- Participate in interface definition, design, and changes throughout project lifecycle. Capture and store all interface designs in a commonly accessible repository.
- Develop lower-level requirements from higher-level requirements that describe in detail the functions a system component must fulfill and ensure these requirements are complete, correct, unambiguous, and verifiable.
- In conjunction with system stakeholders, plan verification efforts of new designs early in the development lifecycle to ensure compliance with established requirements.
- Develop technical documentation, system architecture and design documentation.
- Collaborate in agile scrum cycles, contribute to design sessions, conduct periodic reviews of evolving configuration of hardware and software components, and consider design alternatives for system expansion and growth.
- Actively participate in Analysis of Alternatives (AoA) efforts to recommend preferred solutions based on technology limitations, risk, and lifecycle costs.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
- Must have experience as a Chief Engineer/Technical Director in an MPO program of like size and scope directly managing technical teams in the development of innovative capabilities.
- Must have a Bachelor of Science in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or related discipline.
- Fourteen (14) years’ experience working on similar programs and contracts with demonstrated experience planning and leading intelligence efforts.
- 5+ years of experience working within a mission environment using intelligence tools/capabilities, implementing best practices for knowledge management.
- U.S. Citizenship
- Active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph

Salary Range:
