Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented part-time Field Project Manager to join our team! In this role you will manage Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE) infrastructure projects. You will be responsible for managing the scope, schedule, and budget to ensure successful completion of the projects and will be the primary point of contact to the client for their projects.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Provides procurement support by coordinating with the Parsons’ team to provide independent government cost estimates and technical evaluations.
- Provides design review support by reviewing the drawing packages for constructability. Coordinate with the engineer review team to compile and provide quality assurance of their comments.
- Provides hiring and onboarding support of the on-site Construction Managers. Support the new staff as their Functional Manager once onboarded.
- Collaborates with Program Manager to establish project schedule and budget, and monitors progress in meeting schedule and budget requirements.
- Prepares a schedule of values, track progress, and drafts invoices.
- Develops project documents, processes, and procedures required to support quality control and final project deliverables.
- Actively promotes and supports safety policies and monitors the job site for good safety practices.
- Establishes site security measures and monitors site access by subcontractors and others.
- Chairs weekly job meetings; prepares and submits summary of project progress and pending issues to Project Manager.
- Reviews weekly and monthly reports to client and responds to client issues and expectations.
- Assists Program Manager in pricing and negotiating changes to the scope of work with the client and subcontractors. Reviews bid documents and assists with bidder solicitation activities. Documents and executes changes in scope of project.
- Tracks contractor modifications, potential change orders, RFIs, submittals, risks, and invoices in a spreadsheet for each project. Notifies the team if any gaps or delays.
- Uses the government’s project management tool to access and organize project documents. Distributes documents as needed to the team.
- Anticipates problems and works with client, architects/engineers, subcontractors, and Program Manager to identify and implement corrective actions.
- Keeps client and Program Manager informed of the day-to-day activities of the project.
- Conduct periodic inspections of the construction projects (3 or 4 trips per project, typically two nights each), located throughout the US.
- Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
- Will need to obtain government’s HSPD-12 background investigation initial determination within one month of hire.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
- Bachelor's Degree in a technical or construction-related field (or equivalent)
- 10+ years related work experience
- 3+ years in a leadership role
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite
- Knowledge of construction processes
- Experience with change orders, and drawing, submittals, and RFI review
- General knowledge of electrical codes and practices

Salary Range:
