Job Description:
L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Senior Manager Systems Engineering (SE) to join our Sensor Infrastructure team as a working engineeer who supervises experienced professionals supporting the requirements, design, development, test, integration, and troubleshooting of complex, specialized hardware/software systems .
Essential Functions:
Work cross-functionally to ensure system requirements are addressed throughout the mission system development lifecycle.
Manage system requirements definition within an agile project management framework such as SAFe or similar
Responsible for workforce and staffing plans for the Sensor Infrastructure department
Provides overall technical guidance and expertise to team members, assisting in resolving issues to ensure project execution
Identifies Roadblocks impacting team progress and provides guidance on potential resolutions
Perform routine performance evaluations to gauge individual performance and provide career guidance
Manages work/scope within the group to determine priorities in conjunction with Program management and Program Engineering (PMO)
Must work on the facility with some limited flexibility
Requires the abilitiy to communicate and influence stakeholders
Troubleshooting and maintenance support to aircraft, field sites, SIL's, and development labs.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree and minimum 12 years of prior relevant experience.
Graduate Degree and a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior related experience.
Experience with LINUX and UNIX-based operating systems.
Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI.
Ability and willingness to travel
Preferred Additional Skills:
Experience with generating and reading CD, SK, and EPR drawings
DOORS/Jira experience
Experience with reading Aero drawings
Experience with BIOS and UEFI
