BAE Systems is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cyber Systems Engineering Director to lead the development and implementation of Product Security strategies across the Electronic Systems Sector. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of product security, Cyber Resilience and Cyber Survivability, as well as experience in leading cross-functional teams and developing training programs.
The qualified candidate will provide functional management of the Electron Systems (ES) Cyber Systems
Engineering (CSE) department and project management for the ES Cyber Resilience Capability Group
(CRCG). This position focuses on implementing BAE Systems vision for Cyber Resilience by Design and
requires deep knowledge and experience with cybersecurity engineering. The position is funded at approximately 50% indirect for strategic initiatives and 50% direct for program responsibilities or new business activities. Taking this assignment requires that the candidate can support either direct cyber systems engineering program tasks, IRAD, or new business activities. Job requirements

Key Responsibilities
Bachelor of Science degree in engineering/technical discipline
10 years of work experience covering the following areas: Strategy Development and Execution,
Program Management, Contracting, Cyber Systems Engineering, Risk Management Framework (RMF), Assessment and Authorization (A&A) of systems. The candidate must have hands-on experience with developing RMF accreditation packages on DoD and IC programs.
DoD 8570 compliance certifications including ISC2 CISSP

Because of the need for intermittent in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform a portion of work onsite, this position will be considered hybrid. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 50% or more of the time, as well as remotely when applicable.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Strong understanding and experience with Cyber Systems Engineering techniques including Cyber Resilient Designs, Zero Trust, Offensive thinking, and Risk Management Framework (RMF) in traditional and non-traditional information systems.
Demonstrated leadership skills (soft skills, strategic thinking, business acumen, supervisory experience, building teams, building customer relationships)
Demonstrated experience with strategy development and execution.
Demonstrated experience with project planning and execution.
Demonstrated experience with managing complex programs with competing/conflicting resource requirements.
Experience with customer/stakeholder communication, management, relationship building, and customer satisfaction
Ability to negotiate effectively with higher level managers, functional managers, customers, industry partners, and teammates.
Strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex problems.
Working knowledge of EVMS systems and project management tools
Strong oral and written communications skills
Strong proposal writing and review skills.
US Citizenship and ability to be granted a security clearance by the Federal Government
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Mastery of Cybersecurity policies, DoD or Intelligence Community Assessment and Authorization
(A&A) processes and procedures
Experience with offensive architecting, threat modeling and attack vector analysis.
Experience with cloud and cross domain solution accreditations.
Proficient in vulnerability assessment, control allocation and risk mitigation
Experience with traditional A&A tools: ACAS Nessus, HBSS, Xacta, eMASS, SCAP Scanner, HP
Fortify, WebInspect, STIG Viewer
Graduate work with a cyber-focus
Experience with threat modeling and attack vector analysis.
Experience with Cyber FMECA
Experience hardening and accrediting embedded systems.
Additional cyber certifications (e.g., Security , CCSP, CSSLP, OSWP, OSCP, OSCE, GREM, etc.
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $164000 - $278800
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
