The Stock Room Supervisor provides guidance and technical assistance to internal and external customers and staff for the safe handling, delivery, packaging, storage and treatment of materials necessary for the manufacturing of transformers & power supplies. Unlock your leadership skills and production finesse by securing products that protect today's military, onsite at our world headquarters in Saratoga, NY.Stock Room Supervisor Key Responsibilities including, but not limited to: Manage the activities of the Stock room team to ensure timely and accurate handling, delivery, packaging, storage, and treatment of production components and final products. Monitor team performance, provide coaching and feedback, and address any personnel issues that may arise during the stock & store process Review production schedules to ascertain work load and prepare products and materials for manufacturing Implement quality standard procedures, Stock Room procedures & work instructions, and departmental training procedures and coordinate the training schedule and assignments for all new hires Ensure that key processes related to stockroom material movement (in MRP and outside MRP) are documented with procedures, implemented and have resources trained to comply Troubleshoot problem orders, document issues, and assist in the resolution of identified problems Maintain the accuracy of the inventory by following company cycle counting procedures; review and resolve errors Create cross functional synergy between departments (QA, Supply Chain, Facilities, Safety, Production) to ensure prioritized and aligned inventory and parts needs are addressed Provide oversight of inventory transaction processes and inventory/procurement records and ensure the timely flow of parts through the complete system from signing out of parts from inventory, to restocking, to finished goods Identify and act on opportunities to reduce the inventory holdings, by reducing safety stock where possible, and manage obsolete spare parts Identify and act on opportunities with Procurement to reduce the cost of spare parts, through sourcing replacement parts, improving quality of spare parts Manage the physical storage of spare parts, ensuring proper storage to facilitate safe and efficient handling Lead kitting and routing of work orders & associated materials and/or review & resolve discrepancies Ensure accuracy of paperwork, returns, transfers and all other material handling functions in conjunction with applicable departments Meet key performance indicators through effectively managing material logistic functions to achieve aggressive OTD, inventory, and past due performance metrics Confirm adequate levels of materials and/or product inventories are maintained Prioritize personal responsibility for safety and the safety of internal customers by continuously and proactively correcting unsafe conditions/behaviorsRequired Qualifications: High School diploma with minimum 3 years' experience managing stock rooms or equivalent experience Minimum 2 years' experience leading direct reports in a shipping or stock room environment Must be able to work full time Must be US citizen with ability to secure a US Government security clearance; Applicants must meet eligibility requirements for access to export controlled data The following physical activities described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
