DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Photogrammetry Intern, you will have the opportunity to participate in activities associated with the Department's Unmanned Aerial Systems steering committee. Your responsibilities may involve conducting research for meeting agendas, updating UAS documentation, and entering data into the Photogrammetry Asset Management System (PAMS). Aid in flight planning and control layout for aerial photography missions for geospatial data capture. Assist survey dept in capture of mapping control and mapping test points for quality control/ assurance of projects throughout the Commonwealth. Help current staff in utilizing independent analysis, interpretation, and orientation of geospatial data to develop moderately to complex geospatial and related products within the Photogrammetry Surveys Section.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time internship that will run from 5/1/2025 through 8/29/2025
Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONSStudents who are interested in a PennDOT internship must meet all of the following requirements:
Must be a high school graduate or college student enrolled (or intending to enroll) on a full-time or part-time basis in a 2- or 4- year post-secondary education program for the fall semester.
In good academic standing (as defined by a GPA of 2.0 or higher)
Must be at least 18 years of age
Special Requirement: Certain positions require a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License.
Additional Requirements:
You must be able to perform essential job functions.
